Star Trek: Beyond Trailer 2 Review

The first trailer was awful. No two ways about it. Now the Justin Lin helmed Star Trek: Beyond gets a new trailer. Is it any better? Click on to beam up and find out.

Not only was it better, it was amazing. I have to admit, I was blown away.

When it was first announced that Lin would be directing the sequel to JJ Abrams' first two films, I was concerned. And the first trailer didn't really do anything to calm my fears that it would just be "Fast and the Furious in Space."

Am I still concerned? A little. A trailer's not a movie, and I'm still not sold on Lin's ability to develop good characters in addition to his admittedly impressive visual talent.  But not only were the visuals of this trailer fantastic, it really hit the tone perfectly. It also gave us a few great character moments, and showed off the acting talents of Idris Elba in just a few seconds.

Yeah, this trailer was pretty much perfect. And I'm now officially excited for this movie. But what about you? Are you excited? Or was this just as bad as the last Beastie Boys filled trailer. I'll see you next time, here at ComicBookMovieNerd.com
